The Green Bay Packers might be shorthanded against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Right before starting the stretch of NFC North games, the Packers have several injury questions to worry about — two players have been ruled out, one is doubtful, and six are questionable to play in Week 12.

Out

As expected, cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) has been ruled out and will miss another game. The other player who won’t be available is wide receiver Jayden Reed (shoulder). The Packers opened his 21-day practice window on Friday, but he’s not ready yet to play — while there’s a realistic chance for him to play on Thursday against the Detroit Lions.

Doubtful

Linebacker Quay Walker (neck) missed the entire week of practice and is officially listed as doubtful to play. Green Bay hasn’t activated a player listed as doubtful for a game since 2021, so it’s a clear indication that Walker won’t play. Without him, the off-ball linebacker group has Edgerrin Cooper, Isaiah McDuffie, Ty’Ron Hopper, and Kristian Welch.

Questionable

The big potential return is edge defender Lukas Van Ness. The third-year player might be back from a foot injury he suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals. He practiced all week after missing five consecutive games.

“That is the goal,” head coach Matt LaFleur said when asked if Van Ness would be back this week. “We’ll see how he gets through today [on Friday].”

Defensive tackle Karl Brooks (ankle) also returned to practice on Friday after missing it on Wednesday and Thursday, making him questionable to play.

The offense has several issues as well. Running back Josh Jacobs is questionable after leaving the New York Giants game early with a knee bruise. There are three wide receivers listed as questionable as well — Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist), Dontayvion Wicks (calf), and Savion Williams (foot).

Safety Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (foot), wide receiver Romeo Doubs (wrist), cornerback Bo Melton (shoulder), cornerback Keisean Nixon (illness), edge defender Micah Parsons (pectoral), right tackle Zach Tom (back), wide receiver Christian Watson (knee), quarterback Jordan Love (left shoulder), and kicker Brandon McManus (right quadricep) are all off the injury report and good to go.
