Let’s be honest here: Patrick Mahomes didn’t have the best game last week against the Denver Broncos, but his performance against the Indianapolis Colts, outside of the interception, was outstanding. The Kansas City Chiefs needed that from him, and it was a huge reason they won.

It was good to see the Chiefs win a game that they needed so desperately, in the way that they needed. A win like that put everyone in a great mood after the game.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce does a Patrick Mahomes impersonation

“He’s the best. He’s our fearless leader,” Travis Kelce told reporters after doing an impersonation of Mahomes. “That guy is the most competitive human being that I know. We love him for how he leads this team on the field and in practice, throughout the week. Right now, man, he’s leading us to victory, man.”

When Kelce is doing his Mahomes impersonation that he loves to do, you know it’s a good day, even though I’m sure Mahomes hates it. But seriously, the two have a connection that not many, if any, two players have ever had while on the field.

If Kelce continues catching the ball, making plays, and helping the Chiefs secure wins even at age 36, Mahomes likely appreciates his teammate’s contributions without concern for Kelce’s antics. And this definitely isn’t the first time that Kelce has done that impersonation.

Mahomes threw the ball to Kelce six times, as they connected on four of them for 43 yards. Sure, that’s not anything too impressive; however, that’s largely because wide receiver Rashee Rice was going nuclear with eight catches for 141 receiving yards.

Mahomes finished with 352 passing yards on 29/46 with one interception. Everything else offensively was basically done through running back Kareem Hunt. This team won, and now they’re keeping their playoff hopes alive. Next up, the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
