Trade Buzz? Injury Talk? A.J. Brown Just Set the Record Straight Before Week 10 vs. the Packers.QQ

Here’s the latest on A.J. Brown staying in Philly and an injury update.

Philadelphia Eagles star wideout A.J. Brown was one of the biggest names swirling in trade rumors leading up to the 2025 NFL trade deadline.
Now that the deadline has passed, it’s evident that Brown is staying put in Philadelphia.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Brown opened up about the speculation and shared how he spent his Bye week with the possibility of being moved lingering in the back of his mind.
“I don’t know. I think it’s the nature of the business,” Brown said. “But my focus was to be present with my family, my kids, and get healthy.”
Brown was also asked if Philly is where he wants to be, and gave reporters a little bit of an attitude while No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith smirked in the background.
“Have I said anything to not be here?” Brown said. “Yeah.”
More importantly, Brown confirmed that he is good to go for Monday night’s Week 10 matchup against the Green Bay Packers after missing Week 8’s win over the New York Giants with a hamstring injury.
The Eagles never had plans to trade A.J. Brown
Regardless of what the rumor mill was saying, the Eagles genuinely never had plans to trade their top wide receiver, according to general manager Howie Roseman.
“I think that when you’re trying to be a great team, it’s hard to trade great players,” Roseman said soon after the trade deadline. “And A.J. Brown’s a great player. He wears the ‘C’ for a reason. He’s an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates, and I think that when you’re a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don’t get rid of guys like that.
“We feel very lucky to have him on our team and excited about the second half of the season with him.”
Brown has hauled in 29 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns in seven games so far. The hope now is that the Eagles get Brown more involved and he stays off social media.
