Red Sox Ace Garrett Crochet Announces Birth of First Child, Colette Spencer Crochet.vc

The 2025 AL Cy Young finalist and his wife, Rachel, welcomed their first daughter, Colette, capping off an eventful and stellar first full season in Boston.

BOSTON — Boston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet’s offseason is off to an eventful and joyous start.
Crochet and his wife, Rachel, announced in an Instagram post on Friday that they have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Colette Spencer Crochet.

The couple, who began dating in college at the University of Tennessee, were married in 2021. They have been together through Rachel supporting Garrett’s recovery from Tommy John surgery in 2021 and his move to Boston in 2024.
While Colette is their first child, their family also includes a husky named Moose. With Crochet now under contract with the Red Sox through the 2031 season, the three Crochets and Moose are seemingly settled in Boston for the long haul.

A Stellar 2025 on the Mound
The news caps off a breakout first season in Boston for the 26-year-old ace. Crochet was a star, leading the American League in both innings pitched (205.1) and strikeouts (255), a performance that earned him a spot as a finalist for the AL Cy Young Award.
After his stellar regular season, Crochet delivered arguably the best performance of his career in the postseason. He dominated the New York Yankees in the Red Sox’ only win of the Wild Card Round, giving up just one run and striking out 11 hitters over 7 2/3 brilliant innings.

Now, it’s onto the offseason for Crochet, who will add taking care of his newborn daughter to his usual training regimen ahead of spring training in February.
