Philly just changed the plan on Jaire Alexander — sparking fresh questions before the Packers showdown.QQ
Cornerback Jaire Alexander has been downgraded to out vs Green Bay.

Philadelphia Eagles fans will have to wait to see the team’s newly acquired cornerback, Jaire Alexander, make his debut.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday afternoon that Alexander, who is still recovering from a knee injury, will stay back in Philly as the rest of the team travels to Wisconsin to face the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
“Eagles ruled out CB Jaire Alexander for Monday night’s game in Green Bay,” Schefter said. “The team believes he still is acclimating to the defensive system, still recovering from a knee injury, and it decided it was best for him to stay back to focus on his recovery and preparations for the remainder of the season.”

Howie Roseman explains the Eagles’ decision to trade for Jaire Alexander
The Eagles traded the Baltimore Ravens for a 2026 sixth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange for the veteran cornerback. According to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, the decision was an easy one based on his skill set.
“I remember thinking in June when he signed in Baltimore, ‘Man, what a great signing.’ After doing a deep dive on him, knowing CP worked with him, and now he’s healthy and feeling good, still young, we felt the risk is well worth the reward,” Roseman said. “Sometimes in this league, you acquire information and you watch everything and you say, the risk is worth the reward.”
Alexander spent his first seven seasons with the Packers, where he emerged as one of the league’s top outside cornerbacks while earning Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors in both 2020 and 2022. After being released by Green Bay this past June, he signed a one-year deal with the Ravens. Alexander’s lingering knee injury limited him to two games and five tackles this season.
While that can appear concerning, Alexander told reporters the other day that he has been feeling his best since joining the Birds.
