The wide receiver situation is still unclear as the Green Bay Packers finalize their preparation to face the New York Giants on Sunday. Both rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams are questionable to play. At least, veterans Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Christian Watson are all off the injury report and will play at MetLife Stadium.

  • Questionable: WR Matthew Golden (shoulder), WR Savion Williams (foot), EDGE Lukas Van Ness (foot)

Travis Hunter’s rookie season has come to a disappointing end…

First-round rookie Matthew Golden missed Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a shoulder injury he had suffered versus the Carolina Panthers. However, he returned to practice this week. He’s officially listed as questionable to play, but the situation is promising after LaFleur said he was close to playing last week.

Third-rounder Savion Williams has been handling a foot issue. He was limited throughout the week and was listed as questionable as well.

Romeo Doubs (chest) was a full participant all week after leaving the Eagles game early and will play. Christian Watson (knee/hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) were limited, but are slated to be on the field as well.

Lukas Van Ness is getting closer

Head coach Matt LaFleur said he doesn’t know if edge defender Lukas Van Ness will be back after missing the past four games with a foot injury. But he finally was able to practice this week, with limited participation on Thursday and Friday. The fact that he’s listed as questionable, not out or doubtful, is a promising sign even if he ultimately can’t go on Sunday.

Along the offensive line, left guard Aaron Banks didn’t practice on Friday, but it was just veteran rest and he will play.

Edge defenders Kingsley Enagbare (knee) and Micah Parsons (pectoral), right tackle Zach Tom (back), and linebackers Edgerrin Cooper (foot) and Quay Walker (calf) are all off the injury report and will play.Packers listed three players as questionable for Sunday.
