Former “The Voice” coach and country music superstar Kelsea Ballerini is showing fans a vulnerable side to her as she breaks down in tears and asks for their love. The reason is that she is struggling with her beloved pet dog’s health.
Kelsea Ballerini Asks Fans for Love
Ballerini posted a heartfelt video on TikTok on October 24 showing herself cuddling her Goldendoodle, Dibby. In the clip, she breaks down in tears. She has revealed that Dibby has cancer. “Thinking of everyone with a furbaby going through cancer tonight,” she wrote in the caption. “Truly don’t know my adult life without my dibby. he’s fighting so hard. i love him so much. any love or healing energy you wanna send his way, please continue to. we really appreciate it.” She ended the message with a red heart emoji.
Fans have flooded Ballerini’s post with messages of love and support. At the time of publication, there are over 5,700 comments. “He’s licking your tears. Sweet boy,” a fan shared.

Kelsea Ballerini Is a Dog Mama
Ballerini’s beloved Dibby is incredibly important to her. She has previously discussed her love for the sweet dog, whom she adopted in 2015 and who appears to have been named after her song, “Dibs.” She has also discussed Dibby’s health problems on her Instagram Story in August 2024.
“The last few days we have discovered that Dibby has inoperable cancer in his heart. He’s not in pain, and luckily, it hasn’t spread further. We’re going to start him on the ‘big’ meds to try to make sure he can have as many comfortable and happy days (weeks, months) left as possible,” she shared, Today reports.
She continued, “It’s a complex and emotional time. He’s been my baby and my steady for the last nine years and very much alongside this whole journey with us all.” At the time, she asked fans to send love and prayers for beloved Dibby.
