The Country Singer Has Released His First Original Song Since Time On ‘Idol’

Since Season 23 of American Idol ended, country singer John Foster has been hard at work.

In June, the Idol finalist made his Grand Ole Opry debut, and he even went on to perform in the circle again for his 19th birthday. Altogether, he’s performed at the Opry five times now, with his sixth appearance coming up on October 28.

Last weekend, on October 18, John revealed that he’d purchased a tour bus, writing, “Couldn’t do any of this without my family’s (your) love and the good Lord’s blessings.”

Now, on October 24, John has released a new song, titled “Little Goes A Long Way.”

Listen To “Little Goes A Long Way”

“Can’t wait for y’all to hear this honky tonk tune,” wrote John Foster ahead of the October 24 release of “Little Goes A Long Way.”

The song, which is upbeat and sounds ready for the weekend, was written by Bart Butler, Corey Crowder, and Deric Ruttan.

John, who could be seen on social media recording the song in the studio while sporting a Keith Whitley T-shirt, makes it his own, singing:

“A little ‘hey, what’s up?’ A little ‘be there in five,’ a little jeans I love, a little bench seat slide, a little neon light in her eyes. She’ll be ready to go all night, ‘cause a little goes a long way, a little goes a long, long way.”

The release of “Little Goes A Long Way” coincides with John’s big Homecoming Concert on October 24 at the Bayou Palquemine Waterfront Park, in Plaquemine, Louisiana. There, John says he’ll be performing the song live for the very first time.
