Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton slipped away to Oklahoma for a low-key holiday, choosing family time over spotlight moments in a way that fans are loving.LC

When it comes to the holidays, some people love to invite everyone to celebrate, such as Cynthia Nixon, who plans to host 22 people for Thanksgiving. Former “The Voice” coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, on the other hand, usually opt for a low-key gathering with family. Sources say that this year won’t be any different.

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Celebrating 4th Holiday Season as a Married Couple

To mark their fourth holiday season as a married couple, “The family will be celebrating the holidays in Oklahoma,” a source told E! News. Of course, the duo won’t be alone; they’ll have Gwen’s kids with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale — Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo — with them. Based on previous comments, more family members may also be attending.

“We go all out for Thanksgiving,” Blake told Wide Open Country in 2024. “We’ve got a huge family, so we feel good about making a bunch of food. Normally, it’s like, ‘Oh [expletive], we’re already out of stuffing? How can that possibly be?’ We’re excited about it.”

While the couple goes the traditional route with turkey at Thanksgiving, they’ve created their own, unique holiday tradition for Christmas.

“We stumbled across this dish called the timpano dome,” Gwen told Entertainment Tonight in 2023. “It’s basically like a lasagna, but within this, like, it’s in a dome form, in either a bread or in a pasta. So we started doing that a few years ago, and now that’s the thing.”

Gwen revealed the one tweak that made their dish different. “Some Italians might get mad about this, because typically it would be like a pasta wrap around it. But we started doing it with pizza dough because it tastes yummy,” she admitted. That year, the couple also posted the entire process on Instagram.

Shelton & Stefani Opted for Cozy Night in Over Awards Show Appearance

The news that the couple will be spending the holidays together comes as a relief to many of their fans. Despite Blake’s nomination — and win — for the Musical Event of the Year Award for him and Post Malone’s “Pour Me a Drink,” they skipped the CMAs.

“Blake and Gwen will be watching the CMAs on their TV this year,” a source told E! News. After news spread that they weren’t attending, fans noticed their last red carpet appearance together was at NBC’s “Opry 100: A Live Celebration at The Grand Ole Opry” in March.

However, both Blake and Gwen have been incredibly busy lately. Gwen released the Christmas songs “Hot Cocoa” and “Shake the Snow Globe,” and Blake’s new reality show “The Road” is in the middle of its first season. While they have separate projects, they’ll reunite soon: the two are headliners for the Endymion Extravaganza in February.

And, despite their lack of public appearances, the two have continued to post the same lovey, emotional dedications to each other for their birthdays and anniversaries.
