Green Bay Drops a Shockwave on Fans as Four Key Packers Are Questionable with a Rule Four Twist Ahead of Lions Clash.QQ

Head Coach Matt LaFleur addressed the situation, emphasizing the tight turnaround for Thursday’s game. “A lot of these guys are making progress,” LaFleur said. “Unfortunately, you’re kind of up against it when you’re talking about Thursday football. So, we’ll see where they’re at. Obviously, (Nixon’s) a guy that we would absolutely give up till game time to see if he can go.”

On the ruled-out list, the Packers will be without defensive linemen Lukas Van Ness (foot) and Karl Brooks (ankle), as well as wide receivers Savion Williams (foot) and Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder). Reed, a significant loss, is currently on injured reserve but designated to return. Van Ness, who recently returned from a five-game absence, played just six snaps against Minnesota before being sidelined again. LaFleur described him as “day-to-day,” noting, “We thought he might be able to go, and he tried to go, and wasn’t feeling it. So that’s where he’s at.”

In brighter news, running back Josh Jacobs (knee) escaped a game status designation and is confirmed to play. Jacobs sat out the 23-6 victory over Minnesota after injuring his knee early in the previous game against the New York Giants. His return bolsters the Packers’ ground game at a critical time.

Several other players avoided designations and will be available, including quarterback Jordan Love (left shoulder), safety Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (foot/shoulder), tackle Zach Tom (back), and wide receivers Dontayvion Wicks (calf), Romeo Doubs (wrist), and Christian Watson (knee).

Depending on the availability of Nixon and Hobbs, rookie cornerback Kamal Hadden—a Detroit native—could step up for his first NFL start against his hometown team, adding an intriguing storyline to the game.

Across the field, the Lions are dealing with their own injury woes. They’ve ruled out five players: center Graham Glasgow (knee), safety Kerby Joseph (knee), defensive end Joshua Paschal (back), wide receiver Kalif Raymond (ankle), and tight end Brock Wright (neck). Eight others are questionable: cornerback Terrion Arnold (concussion), defensive end Marcus Davenport (shoulder), tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), guard Miles Frazier (knee), guard Tate Ratledge (knee), tackle Penei Sewell (ankle), wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa (hand), and running back Sione Vaki (ankle/thumb).

Detroit’s safety Brian Branch (toe/ankle) and running back Jacob Saylors (back/shoulder) have no designations and are set to play.
