And if that wasn’t enough, the event went on to raise over $1.1 million for Gunnison Tough. That’s what makes this story so damn special. It wasn’t about headlines or press coverage. The folks at Gunnison Tough captured it best in their own post-event statement: “The big SURPRISE GUEST, George Strait, was a highlight, suitable for the celebration of 20 years of the strength, love, and determination of our community.”
