Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld struck an unexpected tone in the wake of the shooting death of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk at an event at Utah Valley University.
As many conservatives, including President Donald Trump, rushed to baselessly point the finger of blame for the killing at “the left,” despite the shooter still being at large and their motive unknown, Gutfeld noted how “we don’t know who did this.”
The anchor, known for his controversial hot takes and bombastic declarations, argued in a more subdued manner on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Five” that the killing of Kirk doesn’t actually “help the left.”
“Which makes me think, is it the left?” he asked. “I don’t know. I don’t know. We don’t know. But it feels professional.”
