After a rough stretch, Yelich doesn’t hold back — here’s his surprising take on the Cubs .MH

The Milwaukee Brewers lost their third straight game to the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night, losing the season series.

Despite their fourth loss in the last five games, Christian Yelich is not too worried about the Brewers. After the game, he noted that stretches like this are normal and that the Brewers are still a good team.
It’s not surprising to hear Yelich support his own team after a loss, especially when it has the best record in baseball. The Brewers play their final scheduled game against the Cubs on Thursday, but Yelich predicts that they will see each other again.

“We’re going to square off probably more times than just (Thursday),” Yelich said on Wednesday night, per Adam McCalvy. “We’re going to probably see them again at some point in the postseason, and it will be a good series.”
Not only are the Cubs and Brewers both near locks for October at this point, but both teams look like real contenders. The Brewers have the best overall record in baseball, and the Cubs have the fifth-best record.

Both teams have played well against other contenders, and have played close games against each other as well. With the season winding down, the Brewers entered Thursday with a six-game lead in the division and may have their eyes on the top seed in the National League.
Meanwhile, the Cubs are trying to pass the Brewers and, at the very least, secure the top wild card spot in the NL.
