Dolly Tells Fans “I Will Always Love You” as She Misses Further Events
More recently, Parton has been missing out on several of her scheduled November events. This includes the Governors’ Awards, at which she was nominated for the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. This was Dolly’s first-ever Oscar, for which she sent in a virtual acceptance speech.
Parton has been nominated for two other Oscars, one for “9 to 5” and another in 2006 with “Travelin’ Thru.”
Parton was also supposed to be at an International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions event. Dollywood Parks was inducted into the Hall of Fame on November 17, but Parton had to stay home due to her health complications.

The singer apologized and sent a video message to thank the IAAPA for her nomination. ‘I sure wish I could be with you in person today,” she began. “But you’ve probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while, and I’m truly sorry I can’t be there. But I sure wanted to take the chance to say thank you for this incredible honor. …I will always love you, and thank you again.”
It’s probably nothing major, and certainly nothing the Queen of Country can’t handle. Regardless, we sure hope she gets to feeling better.
