Insiders Share What Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Have Been Discussing Recently — Including the Topics Where They’ve Held Differing Views. ML
Mere weeks after Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman announced their split, Urban became at the center of controversy for performing Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” at Mar-a-Lago, also known as a resort owned by Donald Trump and his family. Soon after that, insiders claimed this shed light on their divorce, alleging that their political differences played a part in their breakup.
An inside source told Rob Shuter of #ShuterScoop that Kidman and Urban had “opposite sides of heated conversations” because of politics.
They also spoke about the Mar-a-Lago gig, saying, “That moment showed where Keith stands. Nicole would never step foot in that place, and there is Keith singing and entertaining the crowd.” The insider claimed, noting that after some time, the political differences were “impossible to ignore.”
For those who don’t know, Kidman and Urban met back in Jan 2005 during the G’Day USA gala. They didn’t date til months later, and then they got engaged one year later. They married a month later in 2006, and welcomed two daughters together named Sunday, born in July 2008, and Faith, born in Dec 2010.
On Sept 29, an inside source told Page Six about the split, saying it was Urban’s decision: “Sometimes relationships just run their course. [Kidman] did not want the separation and was trying to save things.” The Daily Mail also reported about it as well, with a source adding, “The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions [of being married]….. She was blindsided, but we shall see how things go during the holiday season and his upcoming birthday [next month]. They have some work to do.”
Then, Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on Sept 30, 2025.
