Christmas is still over a month away, but for many Green Bay Packers fans, the holiday starts now, because it’s time for “Toyotathon.” For some reason, Green Bay star quarterback Jordan Love appears to raise his level of play on the field during Toyota’s annual sales event that stretches from the middle of November to the early portion of January.
Whether there’s a real connection between Love and Toyotathon or not, there are numbers to back up the claim.
Over the same stretch in 2023 and 2024, Green Bay won 11 games against five losses, while the former Utah State Aggies star signal-caller racked up 28 touchdowns with just two interceptions and a 68.3 percent completion rate. Outside of the Toyotathon range during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Green Bay went 7-9, with Love throwing for 29 touchdowns and 20 interceptions, while completing just a 59.8 percent completion rate.

On Friday, Love himself sparked more excitement for Toyotathon with a post on social media.
“Toyotathon is upon us,” Love wrote as a caption for an Instagram post that also has a picture of him posing beside a Toyota truck.
It will be interesting to see whether Love would get into Toyotathon mode right away this coming Sunday, when Green Bay takes on the visiting Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. Love and the Packers are 6-3-1 through 11 weeks of the 2025 season and are coming off a 27-20 win over the New York Giants on the road.
On the season, Love has 2,421 passing yards and 15 touchdowns with three interceptions in 13 starts.
