Trey Yesavage was on the Toronto Blue Jays roster for just under two months in 2025 and took the MLB by storm. Yesavage was a big reason why the Blue Jays were one game away from winning the World Series. As good as his season has been, the 22-year-old might even be able to reach another level. Bleacher Report believes he certainly has more to give, as they have ranked Yesavage very high on their MLB prospects list going into the 2026 season.

Yesavage cracks an impressive top 100 list, but placed high

Bleacher Report’s Joel Reuter wrote an article titled “Updated Top 100 MLB Prospects for 2025-26 Offseason.” Yesavage made Reuter’s top 100 list as the 10th best prospect for this offseason.

“Despite logging 27.2 innings of work in the postseason, including starting Game 1 and Game 5 of the World Series, Trey Yesavage still holds prospect status after tallying just 14 innings of work in the regular season,” Reuter said about Yesavage. “He should open the year as of one of the 2026 AL Rookie of the Year favorites.”

Yesavage didn’t pitch enough to qualify for AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2025. However, with how his 2025 season went, there’s no denying how good Yesavage can be in 2026. In the 2025 regular season, Yesavage recorded a 3.21 ERA in three starts while pitching 14 innings. Even with three starts and little experience, Yesavage made the Blue Jays’ 2025 postseason roster.

It was Game 2 of the 2025 ALDS against the New York Yankees where Yesavage started to get the attention of the baseball world. Yesavage pitched 5.1 no-hit innings to help the Blue Jays earn a win. Yesavage also earned a pivotal win in Game 6 of the 2025 ALCS against the Seattle Mariners to keep the Blue Jays’ season alive.

Yesavage pitched three times in the 2025 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Of course, no game was talked about more than his outstanding seven-inning performance in Game 5 to help the Blue Jays send the series back to Toronto with a 3-2 series lead.

The hype around Yesavage will carry throughout the offseason as many believe Yesavage can be one of the Blue Jays’ best pitchers in 2026.
