UPDATED: Brewers Finalize Non-Tender Decisions, Unveiling What Their Next Roster Shakeups May Look Like .MH

As the offseason rolls on, we continue to get information about what next year’s team might look like. With Friday’s 4 p.m. CST non-tender deadline, the Brewers will have more clarity about their payroll situation by the end of today.

  • The first move of the day involved Jake Bauers returning on a one-year contract, avoiding arbitration. Bauers has been a valuable player since joining the team in 2024, especially thriving this year in a part-time role. Appearing in 86 games, Bauers slashed .235/.353/.399 with a 114 wRC+. After earning $1.4 million in 2025, Bauer’s salary nearly doubles to $2.7 million in 2026, per Jon Heyman.

There were six other players involved in contract discussions today with the Brewers, including William Contreras, Nick Mears, Trevor Megill, Garrett Mitchell, Brice Turang, and Andrew Vaughn. According to Adam McCalvy, the Brewers tendered contracts to all of these arbitration-eligible players, “which just means they’ll push forward in the process with all of them.” Outside of these updates, no more news is expected from the Brewers on Friday.
