American Idol star and Addis native John Foster sang the Star Spangled Banner before the New Orleans Saints game Sunday.
The Saints are taking on the New England Patriots, with a noon kickoff on Sunday, October 12. You can see the game live on WAFB.
Hours before stepping up to the microphone, Foster posted on social media about making preparations to perform the national anthem.
“Getting ready to sing the National Anthem at the Saints game,” Foster said. “Always an honor to perform our nation’s song.”
According to Foster, he will also be performing at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, October 28, at 7 p.m. It’s just one of many shows that he has coming up. Click here to see details about additional upcoming performances.
Foster was the runner up on American Idol season 23 and won over the hearts of countless fans. He got a hero’s welcome in West Baton Rouge Parish ahead of the show’s finale.
