Longtime Announcer Jim Palmer Faces Serious Allegation .MH

Longtime MLB announcer Jim Palmer, one of the best players in Baltimore Orioles history, is facing a troubling accusation.
Palmer, 80, starred for the Orioles from 1965 until 1984. He won 268 games and three Cy Young awards. He made six All-Star Games and won three World Series titles. Palmer is considered one of the top players in the game’s history.
Since retiring, Palmer has worked in broadcasting. He serves as a color commentator for MASN, the Baltimore Orioles’ network. But Palmer, a New York City native, is reportedly facing a troubling accusation.

Pamer has reportedly been accused of racial discrimination against a Black colleague. Palmer was accused of discrimination against O’s Xtra host Rob Long, according to a 2022 memo obtained by the Daily Mail last week.
The prominent MLB announcer was accused of “inappropriate, unprofessional, offensive conduct, that negatively impacted another individual who works on Orioles broadcasts,” during an April 2022 broadcast of the Orioles pregame show.
Details of accusations against Palmer are troubling

Palmer’s wife, Susan, spoke out against the accusations in a text message.
“They thought palmer [sic] would fall on the sword to protect the O’s from a racially charged lawsuit,” the text message from his wife reads. “Sign this memo that you’re this horrible person after being part of the O’s team for almost 60 years because we don’t want to be sued by the black man who wants you fired,” Susan Palmer’s text messages continued.
Pamer’s colleague, meanwhile, denies making any accusations. He said that Palmer is his friend.
The Orioles, meanwhile, are choosing not to comment.
“As a matter of policy, we do not comment on personnel matters,” the team told Awful Announcing.
