All-Star Love Story: How Pete Crow-Armstrong Met His Girlfriend at Vanessa Hudgens’ Wedding.vc
Pete Crow-Armstrong, the 23-year-old center fielder for the Chicago Cubs and 2025 All-Star, has more than just baseball on his radar—he’s “head over heels.” And it all started at one of the most high-profile, private weddings of 2023.
In a new interview, the Cubs star confirmed he met his girlfriend, Hailey Lavelle, at the stunning Tulum, Mexico, wedding of actress Vanessa Hudgens and fellow baseball player Cole Tucker.
The magical, jungle-themed ceremony, which took place on December 2, 2023, was an intimate affair. Crow-Armstrong, now 23, revealed he was in attendance as a guest of the groom. His connection to the couple came through Tucker’s brother, Carson, whom PCA had been randomly paired with as roommates during a Team USA U-12 tournament years prior.
That friendship led him to the “whimsical and magical” ceremony in Tulum, where he was introduced to Lavelle.
An “All-Star” Couple
According to a GQ interview, the couple has been together ever since, dating for nearly a year and a half.
The relationship went public in a big way during the 2025 All-Star Game festivities in Atlanta. Crow-Armstrong, who earned his first All-Star nod after a breakout season, walked the red carpet with Lavelle, posing for photos before the game.
The couple has since shared glimpses of their relationship on social media. In March, Lavelle celebrated Crow-Armstrong’s birthday, calling him “starboy,” and in April, PCA posted a “Happy Birthday Hailey Girl” tribute.
While Hudgens and Tucker were celebrating their own nuptials, they inadvertently played matchmaker for one of baseball’s newest “power couples,” turning their “I dos” into the beginning of another All-Star love story.
