Eagles fans won’t believe what Dan Campbell just revealed about the Tush Push that could change everything.QQ

Lions head coach Dan Campbell is a fan of the Tush Push.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a win over the Green Bay Packers, aka, the very team that pushed to ban the Tush Push during the offseason.
Next up, they’ll face the Detroit Lions, led by head coach Dan Campbell, who happens to be one of the biggest supporters of Philly’s signature play.
“I’m a purist. You take something else out of the game, then we’re taking the next thing out of the game, then we take another thing out of the game, and pretty soon we don’t have pads anymore,” Campbell said. “Then pretty soon it’s, we’re only playing 30 minutes. I don’t want to take it out of the game. It’s something a team’s got a niche, they’ve found something, they’re good at it, and it’s for everybody else to stop. It’s unique and it’s physical, and more than anything, I just don’t want to take anything else out of the game. I just want to leave the game alone. That’s me.”
Dan Campbell is wide open to running the Tush Push
In addition to fully supporting keeping the play around, Campbell is also open to his Lions running it themselves.
However, his team still has some work to do.
“Yeah, we’ve talked about it. We’ve talked about,” Campbell said. “But I think some of it too is – I just know me, if it’s something that I really want to do, then I want to invest in it. And that means that I want to practice it. Like, I want to work it. When you start talking about, ‘Alright, we’re going to rep this about four or five times a day guys, line up. Put your nose about an inch from the ground.’ It’s a little different when you start thinking in those terms. But we’ve talked about it, we’ve tinkered in practice every once in a while. Just not quite there. We’ve got some other things we like and we can do.”
