Morgan Wallen Honors Charlie Kirk’s Family With a Heartfelt Tribute at the Final Stop of His Tour. ML

Lots of celebrities have been quick to respond in the wake of recent events this week. Ever since political activist Charlie Kirk was shot in Utah, country stars have been speaking up. Parker McCollum, Jason Aldean, and Gavin Adcock have had some things to say, while others have been less outspoken. While performing for a crowd in Edmonton, Alberta, Morgan Wallen offered a brief but heartfelt sentiment to Charlie’s family.

Travis Kelce ‘lives his life the right way’

During his set, Wallen paused before singing his song, “I’m A Little Crazy”. He shared that the song has been speaking to him more and more recently. The song, which is featured on his I’m The Problem album, talks about some of his quirks and how they might make him seem “a little crazy” on the outside. But, as Wallen says, “the world is insane,” so being a little crazy can’t be so bad.

“I’m not gonna say a whole bunch on this, but this song right here has been hitting me harder in the last couple days,” he shared with the crowd. “I just wanted to let Erika Kirk know that me and my family are sending prayers her way.” The crowd gave a positive response to Wallen’s message, and sat and listened as Morgan played “I’m A Little Crazy”.

Jason Aldean Gives Tribute to Kirk With “Try That in a Small Town”

Jason Aldean also gave his own version of a tribute to Charlie Kirk, although he expanded on his thoughts. While playing a show on September 11th, Aldean said, “An amazing man by the name of Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday in Utah.” Aldean acknowledged that Charlie was a friend, saying that they had met and talked on “quite a few occasions.”

“It’s a weird country that we live in, where you start taking people out because you disagree with their opinions. That’s not what we’re about here.” He then proceeded to play his song, “Try That In A Small Town”, as a tribute to Kirk.

Morgan Wallen also played the last show of his I’m The Problem Tour that night in Edmonton, making this show one to remember. Wallen’s tribute to Kirk made the night all the more special, and was a brief yet well said response to the tragedy.
