49ers Star Just Changed the Narrative on Mac Jones — And No One Saw It Coming After Week 10.QQ

The San Francisco 49ers may have fallen to their NFC West division rivals on Sunday afternoon, but one thing is becoming more and more apparent for Kyle Shanahan’s offense as the NFL season progresses and it’s that their current quarterback is exceeding everyone’s expectations.

Despite their Week 10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, which moves the 49ers to 6-4 on the season, Mac Jones continues to show that he could very well be the signal caller leading San Francisco throughout the rest of the year after Brock Purdy has battled injuries for large chunks of the calendar.

One 49ers star, in particular, remains very impressed with Jones’ play this season in spite of the fact that he initially had big reservations when San Francisco brought in the former New England Patriots quarterback.

Following the loss, George Kittle praised Jones for his ability to keep the 49ers in the game and says that he can see why he was a “first round draft pick” back in 2021 after coming out of Alabama.

“Nope. I did not,” Kittle said when asked if he believed Jones would turn into a quality NFL starter. “Nope. He’s awesome. One hell of a football player. I get why he was a first round draft pick. 33 of 39 or whatever the statistic was, that’s a hell of a football game. He is playing really well.”

Even following the game on Sunday, NFL legend Tom Brady shared his thoughts on the state of the 49ers at the quarterback position and which player should lead the team once Purdy is healthy again.
