Chris Stapleton Postpones Concerts After Sudden Illness — Fans Rally with Messages of Love and Prayer.LC

Chris Stapleton has been forced to postpone his upcoming weekend run of shows as part of his 2025 All-American Road Show tour. The vocal country powerhouse took to Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 9, sharing the unfortunate news with his fans and followers.
In his message, the 47-year-old Lexington, Ky. native revealed that he has been sick and is currently recovering from a bout of bronchitis. He also shared that he has been put on doctor-ordered vocal rest as he continues to heal from his illness.
“To all my friends in Hollywood, FL, I am very sorry to let you all know I am battling bronchitis and am unable to perform this weekend’s shows as my doctor has put me on vocal rest,” Stapleton wrote before sharing his gratitude to those who had been looking forward to catching his concert. “I want to, sincerely, thank anyone who made plans to attend these shows. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and look forward to seeing you next year — Chris.”
The Affected Shows Have Been Rescheduled for January 2026
The concerts impacted were scheduled to take place on Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 11, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., but those shows have now been rescheduled for 2026.

“The shows will be rescheduled to January 10th and 11th,” the eight-time CMA Vocalist of the Year continued in his message, before telling those who were planning on attending one of the shows that their tickets will still be honored for the newly rescheduled dates.
“All previously purchased tickets for Friday, October 10th, will be honored on Sunday, January 11th, and tickets for Saturday, October 11th, will be honored on Saturday, January 10th. For those unable to attend the rescheduled dates, please contact your point of purchase by Monday, November 10th,” he reassured.
Fans Voiced Their Support for the Country Star
Several fans took to the comments section of Stapleton’s post to let him know that while they were bummed the concerts got pushed back to a different date, they fully understood his reasons for postponing the shows, as his health is most important.
“Heartbroken but hope you have a quick recovery,” one person wrote in the comments section of the post. “God bless and feel better soon.”
“So bummed, but we hope you feel better soon!!! We’ll be praying for your recovery! ❤️🩹 can’t wait for January!” another follower added, with a third person writing, “Sending healing vibes and wishes for a full & speedy recovery.”
Stapleton didn’t indicate how long he planned on being in recovery mode, but his next scheduled concert, according to his website, takes place on Nov. 1 at Boots on the Bayou in Gonzales, La. Since the show isn’t until next month, Stapleton should have ample time to rest and receive the care he needs before he heads back out on the road.
