George Strait is heading to Lubbock!
For the first time in over ten years, the country music legend will be playing a stadium show in the northwestern Texas city for just one night only—and he’s bringing along a lineup of fellow Texas natives to help him do it.
Strait, who was born and raised in Poteet, Texas., announced the exciting news via Instagram on Friday, Nov. 7, revealing that he will be playing Texas Tech’s Jones AT&T Stadium “for one night only” in April 2026.
The “Carrying Your Love with Me” crooner, 73, will also be joined by fellow Texans Miranda Lambert and Hudson Westbrook at the stadium show.
“There’s nothing quite like a George Strait show in the lone star state” read the caption on Strait’s Instagram announcement on Friday. “Over a decade since his last show in Lubbock, The King returns to Raiderland with an all Texans line up, including @mirandalambert and @hudsonwestbrook.”
“Oh this is awesome,” one of Strait’s fans rejoiced in the comments, while another person gushed, “This is truly the best day of my life.”
“Imma have to max out my credit card for this one,” someone else quipped.

Another person added, This is HUGE 🤠 and will be the ultimate Texas country night! This is truly worth traveling to 🙌🏼💕🎶.”
Strait’s big news comes just weeks after he announced another “one night only” event. On May 2, 2026, Strait will perform at Clemson University’s Death Valley, alongside Cody Johnson and Wyatt Flores.

Tickets for the Death Valley show are already on sale, while fans interested in attending the Lubbock, Tex., show can sign up for the artist presale via Strait’s website.
The presale begins on Monday, Nov. 17 at 10:00 a.m., with a public sale to follow on Friday, Nov. 21 at 10:00 a.m.
