After revealing that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene would be a guest on an upcoming episode, The View host, 69, began discussing the ongoing U.S. government shutdown on the Thursday, October 30 episode.
“These are decisions that you don’t have the right to…” before slapping her hands over her mouth as the sound cut out, per Entertainment Weekly.
“You caught it!” cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin said when the audio came back on, while the audience could be heard gasping.
“Well, you know where I’m at,” Goldberg said, as the show went to commercial.
According to EW, a reporter immediately called the show’s rep for a comment on the host’s near-NSFW moment.
“Just so we’re all clear, our people just got a call, saying, ‘Whoopi just said a bad word. Do you have a comment?’ I didn’t say the bad word. I did not say it,” the Sister Act star insisted.
“But, so, I know that you’re sitting, waiting for me to do something, waiting for something to happen,” she continued. “Could you just watch the show? I’d appreciate it if you just watched the show, and then you’ll know what really went on.”
“And do play it back the 50 times that you’re going to do,” Goldberg added.
