đš JUST IN: Bailey Zimmerman issues a raw apology after a heavily criticized festival performance leaves fans stunned âĄML

Bailey Zimmerman has issued an apology to fans after he performed drunk at the Crash My Playa music festival in CancĂșn, Mexico.
Three days after the performance, which went viral on social media thanks to the country starâs off-key singing, Zimmerman shared a video to Instagram admitting that while he was âembarrassedâ by the situation, heâd been raised to âhit my problems head-on.â

âIâd like to talk about something thatâs been eating me alive. Last weekend, down in CancĂșn, Mexico, Iâm sure everybodyâs seen the videos of me playing absolutely awful and singing absolutely awful and I feel like you guys deserve an explanation from me because youâve had my back through the highs and lows and through every mistake,â he said.
The âRock and a Hard Placeâ singer, 24, explained that heâd been drinking earlier in the day, which he now knew was a âmistake.â
âI got up on stage, and I was too drunk to play. And I sang awful, I played awful,â he said. âNobody got the show that they wanted or paid for. And Iâm disappointed in myself.â
Zimmerman went on to say that while “embarrassed” by the performance, he is now focused on making sure that he doesnât repeat his mistakes.

âI want to show you guys the person that I truly am. So Iâm just asking for a little bit of grace,â he said. âMan, growing up is interesting. Itâs not an excuse, but man, thank you to everybody thatâs got my back. Thank you for staying, thank you for showing me love and grace, and weâre gonna crush this year. But yeah, I just wanted to say Iâm sorry. I frickenâ love you guys more than anything in the world and I don’t want to lose you. So forgive me, and I love you.â
In the caption of his post, Zimmerman added that he âlet myself downâ and was âso sorry to everybody,â but vowed to âbe better.â
His post received supportive comments from singers like Chase Rice, who commented, âBeen there dude. Learn from it and move on, proud of you for owning it, now go be the star you are.â
Zimmerman performed eight songs at Crash My Playa on Jan. 18, and was visibly drunk onstage as he performed shirtless in swim trunks. One video shows him jumping from the stage.
Later in the night, though, he redeemed himself after Luke Bryan welcomed him back to the stage, where the two performed a cover of Florida Georgia Lineâs âThis Is How We Roll.â
âMy mother got him drunk today,â Bryan told the crowd of his mom LeClaire and Zimmerman.
Zimmerman recently announced his New to Country Summer Tour, which will kick off in June and go through September.
